Creative Vinyasa Sequencing Workshop

  • bendd. 3/2 Trotters Lane Launceston Australia (map)

Love practicing and teaching yoga but feel like you’re hitting your head against a wall when it comes to designing a class plan?

It can take a tremendous amount of time and effort to craft sequences that students find challenging AND enjoyable, and that keep you feeling inspired as a teacher. This two-day workshop will offer seamless and easy-to-remember ways to create intentional and informed sequences that don’t require you to reinvent the wheel every time you prepare to teach.

Day 1 of the workshop will run from 12pm-3pm on Saturday, November 19. We will spend the afternoon breaking down some simple (but not always obvious) methods of class creation, with a few outside the box frameworks that you might not have taught or experienced in a classroom setting. Once intentional and smooth sequencing is in your toolkit as teacher, it gives you space to focus on and invite elements like pranayama, bandhas, and additional faucets of yogic philosophy into your class offerings.

Day 2 (Sunday, November 20) will run from 1-3pm, and will explore some more subtle considerations of class creation (ie. the subtle body, the chakras, and the five vayus). The way a student feels when they leave a class can be a direct result of the postures and breath work we’ve offered to them, and the more awareness we have into the energies of the body and what influences them, the more intentional we can be with what we are teaching.

Tickets can be purchased for one or both days of the workshop.

Saturday session (only) - $65

Sunday session (only) - $45

This is a workshop designed for teachers, but anyone beginning or looking to deepen their yoga practice will absolutely benefit.
